Alex. 24. Thru-hiking the Appalachian Trail northbound, GA to ME. Intentionally unsettled and restless by choice. Y’all will learn more about me further down the trail. Here’s the deal, though. This blog isn’t really about my trip. It’s more than that. It’s about inspiration. It’s about me taking action to live out a philosophy of daring greatly, living intentionally, and rejecting the paradigms I was told I had to embrace. And hopefully, if I succeed in my mission, I’ll inspire you to do the same.

Howdy again Mountain Goat. My father and I ran into you near Damascus last Saturday. I offered to buy you supper if I saw you in town. Dad started struggling so we didn’t get to stay in Damascus long. You are an inspiration to this first time backpacker. I am typing this from my office full of technology and creature comforts which after my experience on the AT Saturday I realize I don’t need or even want anymore. I wish that I was still on the trail. Don’t ever forget how lucky you are to be on you adventure. You are an inspiration and I wish you God speed and good luck!!!
